Dana Killmeyer was born in Pittsburgh, PA in 1978. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999 with a Bachelors of Arts degree in fiction writing. She spent two years living and working on farms before she returned to Pittsburgh.

Six Gallery Press published her first novel, Paradise, or the part that dies, as well as her first poetry collection Pendulums of Euphoria.
